      Mar,

      I agree about Washington.

    • Remember all that Open Gov and transparency stuff that we all participated in and have received 0-nuthing-zilch in return. Well here is another DC email address for feedback for DOI “faux” Open Government. Might as well send some emails here and see if there is “anybody home”?
      Open@ios.doi.gov

DOI Open Government Email Address: o Citizens were also provided with the opportunity to email feedback to DOI at Open@ios.doi.gov. This inbox was monitored by the Office of Communications and routed to the appropriate Assistant Secretary and will continue to be available for public comment.

Mar, was there anything about the Jicarilla on what you have? I never saw a date on the old schedule, and so far no horses have come to Farmington.

BTW, my husband and son just got back from the Carracas Mesa area. They saw a lone wild horse, bay with black points, in a ravine south of the San Juan River. Hubby said it was beautiful, and seemed to be in wonderful shape. It disappeared like smoke before they could get a picture.

My weekly visit to bring carrots to the captured mustangs being held at the Palamino BLM gulog north of Reno has come to an abrupt end, the horses are all gone. They had been reducing them all spring and today except for a few mules they were all gone. Only last week their were still a hundred or so, many mares and young foals. A woman at the grocery store told me the BLM told her they were being moved to another site to get vaccinated and something to do with their hooves and then they would be returned. That made no sense to me at all. Does anyone know what they’ve done with these terribly unfortunate horses?

    Thanks,

I’ll make some calls this morning… I’m sad to say I’m a little out of the loop due to all of the chaos.

    • John Neil just told me on the phone that the majority of the horses have been moved to Fallon and on to other adoption centers. The Calico stallions and others brought from Fallon in May are still there. This is what will be going on; horses being transported for adoption. Hoof care was finished last week. He denied the horses were moved for vaccinations. He said they were moved for adoption and relocation. mar

      • When I said Fallon I do mean Broken Arrow facility. These horses are still under BLM care and are not going to sale. mar

Mar, thanks for the update, there are pictures of some of the horses up now on the BLM interent adoption site; none of the stallions or fillies are up yet.
